The Loc'd Lounge began as a personal calling, a space where loc care could be more than maintenance. It could be medicine. It could be sacred. Founded by Thea Joseph Baynes, The Loc'd Lounge is now a thriving loc care studio, product line, and certification program for aspiring Loc Guides.
We believe crown work is sacred work. Every wash, every part, every interlock is done with reverence. Our goal is to restore trust in the hands that care for textured hair and to create a legacy of empowered, educated locticians across the Caribbean and beyond.

I’m Thea Joseph Baynes, a Master Loc Guide, educator, and product innovator rooted in the vibrant heart of the Caribbean. As the founder of The Loc’d Lounge and creator of SereniTeaLocs™, I’ve dedicated over seven years to perfecting the art and science of tinyloc care, combining expert technique with a deep reverence for the sacredness of crown work.
My journey began as a single mother of two beautiful girls, balancing motherhood with a passion for helping others embrace the beauty, strength, and freedom that their tinylocs represent. What started as a small, intimate studio has grown into a brand recognized for its luxurious and holistic approach that marries education, innovation, and empowerment.
At The Loc’d Lounge, I specialize in the precision of the interlocking technique, creating and maintaining healthy, flourishing tinylocs. Through SereniTeaLocs™ Certification, I now share my expertise with students across the Caribbean, teaching not only the technical skills of a professional loctician but also the mindset and confidence required to thrive in this sacred industry, as a Loc Guide.
Beyond the chair and classroom, I am a formulator and product developer, crafting tinyloc care products that blend nature-inspired ingredients with science-backed stability. These trusted solutions are designed to keep tinylocs healthy, clean, and radiant.
